Privacy Policy

Escrow.Agency, operated by Escrow Alliance B.V., attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this privacy policy, we explain what personal data we process, for what purpose and on what legal basis, which processors we use, whether data is transferred outside the EEA, how long we retain data and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible?

The data controller for the personal data on this website is Escrow Alliance B.V., located at Kenaupark 15, 2011 MR Haarlem, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 88152081. You can reach us at privacy@escrowalliance.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact form: details you enter yourself via the contact form, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.
  • Technical and analytics data: IP address, browser type, operating system, language preference and pages visited. These are used for language detection, security and, after your consent, for web statistics.
  • Cookie consent log: a record of your choice in the cookie banner, including a session ID and your user agent, so that we can demonstrate which consent you have given.

3. Legal basis per processing purpose

  • Answering your question and contacting you via the contact form: performance of a (potential) contract or pre-contractual contact.
  • Basic website functionality, language detection and security: legitimate interest of Escrow Alliance in keeping the website functioning correctly and securely.
  • Analytics via Google Tag Manager and GA4: only on the basis of your prior consent.
  • Compliance with legal retention and record-keeping obligations: legal obligation.

4. Processors

For the purposes described above, we use the following processors:

  • Supabase, for hosting, database and edge functions.
  • Google (Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4), only after you have given consent via the cookie banner.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile), for spam filtering and bot protection on the contact form.
  • The email provider behind the transactional email service, for sending notifications and contact messages.

5. Transfer outside the EEA

Some of the above processors, in particular Google and Cloudflare, have their headquarters outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and may process your personal data outside the EEA. For transfers outside the EEA, we conclude Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with the processor concerned, as an additional safeguard for an adequate level of protection. Supabase and the email provider process data within the EEA where possible; if a transfer outside the EEA nevertheless takes place, SCCs apply as well.

6. Retention periods

  • Messages submitted via the contact form: as long as necessary for handling your question, and thereafter for a maximum of 24 months in a protected archive.
  • Analytics data: for as long as the relevant consent applies and for a maximum of 24 months thereafter.
  • Cookie consent log: a maximum of 12 months after registration.
  • Technical security logs: a maximum of 12 months.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please send an email to privacy@escrowalliance.com.

In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority. You can do so via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
